Rob Durnin is a British-born composer/performer educated from the RNCM in Manchester and the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. His works have been applauded for their high degree of technical perfection and for their multidisciplinary innovation.
In the past his works have been performed by such notable ensembles as Figura Ensemble, Esbjerg Ensemble, Ensemble Recherche, the Curious Chamber Players, K!ART, and the Danish Radio Choir. His music has been staged at Ung Nordisk Musik, Pulsar New Music Festival, the New Music North West Festival and Njord Festival as well as in other interdisciplinary projects and collaborations.
As a performer, Rob is often involved in the realisation of his compositions, both solo and for ensemble. He is a member of the contemporary music ensemble K!ART, and has in that capacity performed a wide range of works by young composers both based in Denmark and internationally.
Rob is currently studying in the Advanced Post-Graduate (Soloist) program in Composition at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Copenhagen.
